Hi,
I’d like to join the support group if it is still held online please as I would have problems reaching you otherwise.
I really need to talk to someone who understands what I am going through.
I would like to join the support group in West London area, as I am recently been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I am still struggling to come to terms to accept this condition because it has completely changed my health and my life.
I am interested to learn and understand more from other attendees and the organiser regarding this condition, how they cope during their daily management aspects of this condition.

Im a 52 year old lady who suffers from Fibromyalgia also Arthritis. I have spoken with Toby Perkins secretary who as put me in touch with you today. I just wanted to know is there a support group in my area DY148UG.Also what is the Government doing for people with this illness, as I don’t have any support at all. Hope to hear from you soon Virginia Collier
If your conditions prevent you from working you may be entitled to claim ESA (Or Universal Credit depending upon your area). If you have car needs or greater mobility needs, you may also be entitled to claim PIP. For all benefits enquires I would recommend contacting FMA U.K., The Citizens Advice Bureau or looking at the Benefits & Work website.
In terms of healthcare support I’m afraid we are limited to local NHS provisions, which tend to be vastly oversubscribed. If you have not already been referred to a rheumatologist and pain clinic then I would ask your GP for those referrals as a good starting point.

Hi Virginia,
I’m afraid we are a small charity predominantly based in and around the Greater London area, so don’t currently have any support groups near to you.
You may have better luck with FMA UK, the national charity. Details of contacts for their support groups can be found here http://www.fmauk.org/contactsmenu/supportgroups
