Parkour-style muscle conditioning helps. I used to be disabled with parkour, now 3 years later I can almost do back flips.
For me though the heat is the worst. The cold makes it better, a sauna would kill me. I think the temperature thing is subjective, one way or the other. Just putting hands in icy water helps, something to do with stimulating the vascus nerve.
